LUCENA CITY – Police seized an estimated P160,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) and an illegal firearm from five drug suspects in separate buy-bust operations in this city, Tayabas City and Sariaya town on Saturday and Sunday.
The Quezon police said Nigel Pabellar and Brian Kurt Laneza were arrested after they sold a pack of shabu to a police agent in Barangay Balubal in Sariaya at around 5:10 p.m. on Saturday.
Authorities seized three sachets of shabu with an estimated street value of P116,480.
Police also found one undocumented caliber .45 pistol with four bullets from Pabellar. They also confiscated the car believed to be used by the suspects in their illegal drug trade.
In Tayabas City, Rommel Guevarra was arrested in Barangay Lalo around 12:50 a.m. Sunday. He yielded three sachets of shabu worth an estimated P11,016.
Police also confiscated a van being used by the suspect in his distribution of shabu to his clients.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Romulo Albacea, Lucena police chief, in a separate report, said anti-narcotics agents nabbed Juanito Erilla and Noriel Baluyot in separate operations in Barangay 4 and Cotta village in this city late afternoon on Saturday.
The two yielded 13 sachets of shabu worth an estimated P34,272.
