Pagasa: Warm Saturday weather due to easterlies

MANILA, Philippines — Warm weather will prevail over most parts of the Philippines on Saturday  due to the easterlies, according to the state weather bureau.

In its 5 a.m. live weather update, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that the easterlies, or warm winds coming from the Pacific Ocean, is currently affecting the eastern portion of the country. 

Localized thunderstorms, however, will also bring cloudy skies with isolated rain showers over Metro Manila and the rest the country. 

Pagasa also said that the entire Philippine archipelago will have light to moderate wind speed moving in the east to northeast direction

Coastal waters will be slight to moderate, from 0.6 to 2.5 meters, Pagasa added.
