Navotas markets, groceries closed every Monday for disinfection
MANILA, Philippines — Public markets and groceries in Navotas will be closed every Monday for disinfection and cleaning following the surge of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases in the city, Mayor Toby Tiangco said in a Facebook post on Saturday.
In his executive order, cited the City Epidemiology Surveillance Unit data which showed a 349-percent increase in Covid-19 cases in the city.

Earlier, Tiangco also ordered the closure of the public park to prevent groups of people, some of whom might be infected with the coronavirus, from gathering.
