Batangas’ Covid-19 death toll hits 379; 4 more fatalities recorded

LUCENA CITY  – The province of Batangas recorded four more coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) deaths, as the death toll rose to 379.

The Batangas Provincial Public Information Office, citing data from the Provincial Health Office (PHO) announced on social media on Sunday that two patients from Padre Garcia and San Juan towns succumbed.

On Feb. 20, another patient in the municipality of Nasugbu also died from Covid-19 while a confirmed patient in Laurel town expired the day before.

Batangas has logged a total of 1,053 Covid-19 cases so far this year and 12,804 cases last year.

A total of 746 locals who tested positive this year have since recovered, while 270 others are active cases.
