MANILA, Philippines — Some flights scheduled for Friday, February 19, have been cancelled due to bad weather.
The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) said the following flights have been cancelled:

DG 6177/6178 Manila-Masbate-Manila
DG 6195/6196 Manila-Legazpi-Manila
On Friday morning, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported that “Auring” has intensified into severe tropical storm as it moves slowly towards the eastern part of Mindanao.
In its 11 a.m. weather bulletin, Pagasa said Severe Tropical Storm Auring was located 535 kilometers east southeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur with maximum sustained winds of 95 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 115 kph.
Pagasa said Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 is raised over Davao Oriental, the eastern portion of Davao de Oro, the eastern portion of Agusan del Sur, and Surigao del Sur.
