Cops urged to speed up probe of killing of safety officer in Pangasinan
CALASIAO, Pangasinan –– Local officials in this town have asked the police for a speedy resolution of the killing of the acting head of the city’s Public Order and Safety Office here.
The victim, Reynaldo “Bogart” Bugayong, 54, from Dinalaoan village, died on Tuesday, Feb. 16, after suffering 10 bullet wounds in his body and head.
Col. Bingo de Asis, town chief of police, said seven bullets were fired from a 45-caliber gun and two from a 9-mm pistol.
He said security footage showed that four men aboard two motorcycles were at the crime scene in Barangay Lasip.
De Asis said the police were already looking at two persons of interest.
Mayor Joseph Arman Bauzon said Bugayong was a frontliner who helped deliver relief goods to those affected by the pandemic
