AMLC to put up info office in Camp Crame
MANILA, Philippines — To neutralize crime syndicates by going after their funds, the Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) is setting up an information exchange center at Philippine National Police headquarters in Camp Crame.
Gen. Debold Sinas, chief of the PNP, signed on Monday a memorandum of agreement with AMLC Executive Director Mel Georgie Racela for the establishment of a fusion center, which will be inaugurated on Wednesday.
Racela said the fusion center would allow the PNP to “share with AMLC names of persons of interest as well as the documents in its possession.”
In return, he said, “the AMLC will share vital information that may assist the PNP in its fight against criminality.”
