Active Covid-19 cases in PH hit 27,588 as DOH records 1,685 more infections
MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Health (DOH) reported 1,685 new infections of Covid-19, driving total active cases nationwide to 27,588 on Monday.
According to DOH’s latest Covid-19 bulletin, most patients with active infections or 86.6 percent have mild symptoms, as 6.9 percent are asymptomatic or did not feel any symptoms, 2.8 percent have severe symptoms, and 2.8 percent are in critical condition.
DOH likewise reported 14 new recoveries and two deaths, increasing the tally of recovered patients and fatalities to 511,755 and 11,517, respectively.
All in all, the country’s sum Covid-19 case count has now reached 550,860 as of February 15, according to the health agency.
DOH said 1,024 of the 1,685 positive cases reported Monday came from test results received on Sunday, February 14.
It likewise noted that six laboratories were not able to submit their information to the Covid-19 Data Repository System on Sunday. Additionally, DOH said one duplicate entry was removed from the total case count while two recoveries were reclassified as deaths after further validation.
