Woman, 54, becomes 217th Covid-19 case in Occidental Mindoro

CITY OF CALAPAN – A 54-year-old woman who was exposed to a coronavirus disease (Covid-19) patient tested positive for the virus in Occidental Mindoro, according to a report on Saturday evening by Governor Eduardo Gadiano.

The woman, now considered the 217th case in Occidental Mindoro, is from San Jose town.

A report said she experienced chills, fever, cough, and difficulty in breathing on Feb. 4 and took a swab test which gave a positive result Saturday.

She is being monitored at the San Jose District Hospital where she is admitted. Contact tracing is now being carried out, according to the Provincial Health Office.

Meanwhile, a 29-year-old woman from Mamburao town, also in Occidental Mindoro, has recovered Saturday evening.

The province now has four Covid-19 local active cases, 202 recovered cases, and 11 deaths due to the coronavirus.
