TUGUEGARAO CITY—Bouquets made of vegetables for this Valentine’s Day weekend have become an unexpected craze and has drawn buyers in Cagayan Valley.
The Department of Agriculture in Region II is prepared to deliver on Sunday the edible bouquets which people have ordered since last week, said DA Regional Technical Director Rose Mary Aquino, through delivery services.
Aquino said the project was hatched to help vegetable and fruit farmers recover from the economic downturn triggered by the coronavirus pandemic.
The special bouquets are also affordable alternatives to costly flowers.
Among the bouquet products prepared for deliveries are the pinakbet bouquet, and the chopsuey bouquet worth P300 to P350. VILLAMOR VISAYA JR
