Drug suspect gunned down in Quezon
LUCENA CITY – A drug suspect was shot dead in Candelaria, Quezon Friday night, police said Saturday.
The Quezon police said that Jaime Arpia, 30, who was on his motorcycle, was shot by a lone gunman along Cabuñag Street in Barangay Pahinga Norte at around 7 p.m.
The gunman fled after the incident. The victim died on the spot.
Investigators recovered ammunition for a .45 pistol at the crime scene.
Police said the victim was arrested in Candelaria in 2017 for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and RA 9516 or Illegal Possession of Explosives.
