MANILA, Philippines — A group of public relations officers for senators conducted a gift-giving activity for the media ahead of Valentine’s Day.
Cookies, chocolates and Chinese “tikoys” were just some of the goodies that members of the Public Relations Officers of the Senators (PROS), headed by Glenda Olid, gave away as pre-valentine presents to the Senate media in front of the Senate building in Pasay City on Thursday.
The Senate Press Office has been closed since March 2020 following the imposition of pandemic restrictions.
Senate reporters have been covering the plenary sessions and public hearings by monitoring Youtube livestreams and Facebook Live videos.
“In collaboration with the Senate Public Relations and Information Bureau, PROS continues to do its duties of disseminating information about the legislative work of the senators and to ensure non-stop media coverage despite the pandemic,” Olid said.
“PROS has also been active in helping the needy by soliciting goods and distributing them to calamity stricken areas,” she added.
