TACLOBAN CITY –– A police officer was shot to death by still unidentified assailants in Palo town, Leyte on Wednesday morning.
Master Sergeant Jay Paul Culas, 37, assigned at the Leyte provincial police office, was on board his motorcycle when the suspects, who were in another vehicle, shot him several times along the national highway in Barangay Arado, Palo town, at 8:20 a.m.
Investigators have yet to determine the identity of the assailants and the motive behind the killing.
The remains of the police officer were brought to the Rolling Hills Funeral Homes in Tacloban City.
