‘Nanlaban’ in CamSur: Suspect killed in drug buy-bust near his home

LEGAZPI CITY—A drug suspect was killed in a buy-bust operation in the town of Baao, Camarines Sur province.

Maj. Mary Grace Tagtag, Baao police chief, said after transacting with an undercover agent, suspect Vincent Britanico, 51, noticed policemen and quickly ran to his house while firing a gun at the law enforcers.

Police returned fire and killed Britanico who was on a drug watch list.

Tagtag said Britanico had been arrested on Oct. 25, 2018 for a drug offense.

Recovered at the spot where Britanico was killed were six packets of meth, a .38 caliber pistol and bullets.
