Police raided a warehouse in Paris where an orgy was being held by almost 100 people who were breaking COVID-19 rules.
The participants have since been fined for breaching social distancing and face mask protocols as they took part in the illegal orgy on Jan. 29, as per The Mirror on Jan. 30.
Police were able to break up the sex party after receiving reports of men and women meeting at the said warehouse on the outskirts of the City of Love.
Three people, who authorities believed were the organizers, have since been arrested.
Aside from the said anti-Covid rules broken by the group, they also breached France’s 6 a.m.-to-6 p.m. curfew, which was placed also to prevent the spread of the virus.
“Those involved in the libertine party cooperated with the police, and there was no resistance to the police,” an unidentified police source was, meanwhile, quoted as saying.
To be specific, there were no less than 81 orgy participants, The Independent reported on Feb. 2. Eleven of them were caught by police in the parking lot and were fined €135 (around $162 or P7,780) each.
Earlier this year, Argentinian police raided a swinger party attended by around 12 couples, likewise breaking COVID-19 rules. Also last year, a similar raid was done in New York as police broke up a “sex party” held by around 30 people amid the pandemic. Ian Biong /ra
