Manila opens ‘MayniLOVE’ at Mehan Garden
MANILA, Philippines — The Manila City government has opened the love month by launching “MayniLOVE” fair at the Mehan Garden, featuring booths that offer candlelight dining experiences and other services and products for the Valentine season.
According to Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso, the initiative is part of the local government unit’s efforts to help small businesses recover from the economic impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic.
“We’re trying to do our best to generate sales, to generate businesses so that we can protect whatever is left with regard to jobs or create more jobs. Whether it is a temporary or permanent opportunity for every Manileño, we will do so,” Moreno said during the launching of “MayniLOVE” on Monday.
A portion of his speech was shared by the Manila Public Information Office (PIO) to the media on Tuesday.
