Man stabs wife to death in Samar
ORMOC CITY – The San Jorge, Samar police is tracking down a man who killed his wife and wounded three others in a stabbing spree in Barangay Mo-boob on Friday, Jan. 29.
Capt. Michael Ray Cañete, San Jorge police chief, identified the suspect as Liberato Cabubas, 51.
Initial investigation showed that the suspect, who appeared to be drunk, approached his wife Jennifer and stabbed her on the breast.
The suspect also stabbed the three other victims while fleeing —Ricky Labong, Lolito Tamor, and Jose Tayam Jr.—whom he met while fleeing.
The four victims were immediately brought to the Gandara District Hospital but Jennifer was declared dead on arrival by the attending physicians.
The three other victims were later referred to the Eastern Visayas Regional Medical Center in Tacloban City.
