MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Friday reported 45 more coronavirus cases among its ranks, increasing the total number of infected police personnel to 10,087.
In its tally, the PNP documented 45 new virus infections, bringing the total to 592 active cases.
Of the 45 new virus infections, the National Capital Region Police Office registered the highest number with 10 Covid-19-infected police officers.
Meanwhile, 28 more recoveries and no new fatalities were documented in the police organization. This brings the total number of Covid-19 recoveries and deaths to 9,467 and 28, respectively.
To date, the Philippines recorded 521,413 total number of coronavirus disease infections including 35,048 active cases, 10,600 fatalities and 475,765 recoveries.
