MANILA, Philippines — The tail-end of a frontal system and the northeast monsoon will bring cloudy skies with rains in parts of Luzon, while fair weather is expected to be observed in the rest of the country on Tuesday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
Based on Pagasa’s 4 a.m. weather forecast, the tail-end of a frontal system will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, Aurora, Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, Rizal, and Quezon.
The tail-end of a front system is where cold winds from the northeast monsoon and the easterlies, or warm winds from the Pacific Ocean, converge.
Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon will bring cloudy skies with rains in Apayao, Kalinga, and the rest of Cagayan Valley, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains in Ilocos Region and the rest of Cordillera Administrative Region and Central Luzon, Pagasa said.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have fair weather with partly cloudy to cloudy skies, but isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms may still occur in the afternoon and evening due to localized thunderstorms.
(In Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, there will be fair weather but isolated thundestorms may still occur in the afternoon and evening.)
(Here in Visayas, there will still be fair weather but isolated thunderstorms may occur in the afternoon and evening. In Mindanao, there will be fair weather but isolated thundestorms are still expected.)
