PNP chief wants 2 rookie cops positive for drugs axed

/ 04:46 AM January 18, 2021

Gen. Debold Sinas, chief of the Philippine National Police, wants two rookie policemen who allegedly tested positive for narcotics use sacked. Sinas on Sunday ordered the investigation and the conduct of summary dismissal proceedings against Patrolman Reyland Intal of the Olongapo City police mobile force company and Patrolman Benhur Ismael of the 2nd Sulu provincial police mobile force company. “If left undetected, these two police rookies will continue with their drug use and perhaps influence others,“ Sinas added. “They will have to go because there is no place for addicts in the PNP.” —Jeannette I.
