LUCENA CITY – Police arrested three drug suspects here Sunday morning, police said.
Lieutenant Colonel Romulo Albacea, Lucena city police chief, identified the arrested suspects as Rodel Espina, 30; Jodil Gutlay, 30 and Merlo Visperas, 58.
Espina, a construction worker, was collared after he sold P500 worth of shabu to an undercover police officer in a drug deal in Barangay Kanlurang Mayao around 6:30 a.m.
Authorities confiscated 10 sachets of shabu with an estimated street value of over P23,000.
Gutlay and Visperas were also arrested in another buy-bust operation in Barangay Ibabang Dupay around 8:10 a.m.
The duo, both jobless and who have been peddling shabu in the village, yielded six sachets of shabu worth an estimated P14,000.
The suspects are facing a complaint for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
