A woman and her three children were arrested by police in a drug buy-bust operation in barangay Tayud, Liloan town, northern Cebu.
Police seized 58 packs of suspected shabu during the operation Tuesday night.
A poseur buyer bought two packs of shabu worth P500 each from Wilma Repillo, her son Marvin Blanco, 19, and Frederick Jacobe, 33, outside their house.
Police said the woman admitted selling shabu because she has no other means of income.
Police arrested the woman and three sons, including a 15-year-old boy.
Police said Frederick is the woman’s son from a previous relationship while the other two were children from her current live-in partner, Rene “Baki” Blanco.
Rene was not home when the police operation was made.
Also arrested was Christopher Medalle, 31, a relative.
Police said they had the suspects place under surveillance for a week before conducting the raid.
They said shabu and drug paraphernalia were recovered from Medalle and the 15-year-old boy.
Senior Insp. Henrix Bancoleta of the Regional Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group (RAIDSOTG) of the Police Regional Office in Central Visayas (PRO-7) said a background check revealed that Blanco has been selling drugs for a year.
Recovered from Repillo’s possession were 54 small packs of suspected shabu in a plastic container and P660 cash.
The four people arrested were detained at the PRO-7.
The mother was detained at the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO).
Police said they will coordinate with social workers for the custody of the 15-year-old boy.
