Northern Samar gov’t workers ordered to resume normal work setup

TACLOBAN CITY—Employees of the provincial government of Northern Samar had been ordered to resume normal work arrangement after two months of being allowed to work from home or work remotely as precaution against COVID-19.

Gov. Edwin Marino Ongchuan gave the order which would take effect on Monday (Jan. 18).

The governor, who issued the executive order on Thursday (Jan 14), said his decision came after the province noted a decline in coronavirus cases for the past weeks now.

As part of the return to normal working arrangement, Ongchuan directed all offices to be disinfected. Service vehicles should also be disinfected starting on Friday (Jan. 15). All employees should abide by health protocols like wearing masks, face shields and observing social distancing.
