Drug suspect slain in Bulacan shootout
CAMP GEN. ALEJO SANTOS — Police killed a drug suspect during a reported shootout in San Rafael town, Bulacan province on Wednesday.
Ronald Ramos was caught selling “shabu” (crystal meth) to an undercover agent, said Col. Lawrence Cajipe, Bulacan police director.
Investigators said Ramos and his companion resisted arrest and fired shots at the responding policemen around 10 p.m. Ramos’ cohort managed to escape.
Police in San Miguel town also seized shabu worth P425,000 from another drug suspect identified as Noemi Esguerra.
Esguerra, who has been reportedly selling drugs in San Miguel, was arrested in Malabon City.
Eleven other drug suspects were arrested in other towns of Bulacan in intensified anti-illegal drug operations.
