PIGCAWAYAN, COTABATO—Police on Tuesday (Jan. 12) arrested a suspected drug dealer in a buy-bust operation and seized some 50 grams of crystal meth worth about P340,000.
Maj. Ivan Samoraga, Pigcawayan police chief, said Bayzer Abpi, 33, Cotabato City resident, agreed to sell P100,000 worth of meth to an undercover agent.
The sale was to take place 3 p.m. on Tuesday on the side of the national highway at the village of Tubon.
Samorga said Aboi was arrested as soon as he handed the illegal stuff to the undercover agent.
Abpi did not resist arrest but was visibly stunned by the turn of events.
Samoraga said Abpi had been under surveillance since a successful drug deal with an undercover agent was made last month.
