MANILA, Philippines — Street parties, parades, games, and other festivities are prohibited during the Feast of Santo Niño in Tondo and Pandacan as it may cause a chain of COVID-19 infections in the community, the Manila City government said Tuesday.
The Manila Public Information Office saidMayor Isko Moreno signed Executive Order (EO) No. 2, banning street parties, stage shows, parade, palarong kalye, and similar events during the Santo Niño feasts from January 16-17.
The directive likewise reiterates curfew hours of 12 a.m. to 3 a.m. in Pandacan and Tondo, as provided for by Manila City Ordinance No. 8962 enforced on December 1; and sets a liquor ban in these areas also from January 16-17.
