LEGAZPI CITY — The rural health office in Camalig town in Albay province was placed on lockdown on Sunday after a midwife who works there tested positive for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Camalig Mayor Carlos Irwin Baldo Jr. said the office would be closed until the completion of contact tracing, assessment, and disinfection in the area.

The ambulance services and the issuance of medical clearance will still continue, he said.
