Search on for missing Pangasinan student swept out to sea

SAN FABIAN, Pangasinan –– A search-and-rescue operation has been launched for a 21-year old student who has gone missing in the waters off a beach in this town on Wednesday.

Police said Zander Licay, a resident of Pozorrubio town, and his two friends, were swimming, when strong currents carried them towards the deeper portion of the sea.


The three tried to cling to each other, but Licay was swept away by the waves.

Licay’s friends were rescued by responding authorities.
