2 more die from COVID-19 in Zambales; death toll now at 17
OLONGAPO CITY –– The fatalities from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Zambales province have risen to 17 on Tuesday with the deaths of two patients.
Dr. Noel Bueno, provincial health director, said the latest fatalities were both 72-year-old women. One was from Subic town, while the other was from Botolan town.
Bueno said the patient from Subic developed lung infections while the patient from Botolan suffered from heart failure.
The province recorded a total of 740 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic broke out. At least 698 of them had recovered from the disease.
