Zamboanga City solon, wife, 2 daughters test positive for coronavirus

MANILA, Philippines — Zamboanga City 2nd District Rep. Jose Manuel Dalipe has been tested positive for coronavirus.

In a Facebook post, Dalipe asked for prayers as he disclosed that he, his wife, and two daughters were all found to be infected with COVID-19.

“Five members of the Dalipe family are now bravely fighting the COVID virus. Please continue to pray for us as we also pray for everyone’s health and safety,” the lawmaker said.

As of January 5, COVID-19 cases in the country stands at 479,693—of which 21,997 are deemed active.

Recoveries also stands at 448,375 while the death toll has risen to 9,321.
