67 more Filipinos abroad get the virus
MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Tuesday reported a spike in the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases among Filipinos abroad as 67 more have tested positive for the new coronavirus, bringing the total to 12,996.
Currently, 3,632 patients are still undergoing treatment, it added. The DFA also reported that 40 more Filipinos recovered from the illness, bringing to 8,430 the total number of recoveries.
The death toll remains at 934 as there was no new COVID-19 fatality reported among Filipinos overseas.
Middle East and Africa remain to be the region with the most number of confirmed cases among Filipinos at 7,712.
