MANILA, Philippines – The Pasay City Regional Trial Court will call the attending physician of Pampanga Representative Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo to testify on the medical condition and submit medical records of the former president.
In a Radyo Inquirer 990 AM report quoting Pasay RTC Branch 112 spokesman Felda Domingo, they will call in Arroyo’s doctor to testify in relation to the motion filed by the Commission on Elections to transfer the congresswoman to a regular prison.
Arroyo is under hospital arrest at the Veteran’s Memorial Medical Center for charges of electoral sabotage filed by the Comelec.
RTC Branch 112 Judge Jesus Mupas is scheduled to decide on the motion on February 5. Domingo said that the plaintiff’s side has not yet filed a counter-motion but she added that they are expecting them to do so.
The arraignment of Arroyo’s case is set on February 20.
