MANILA, Philippines — A 4.4-magnitude earthquake jolted Quezon province on Monday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said.
At 8:05 a.m., the quake hit 25 kilometers southwest of San Francisco, Quezon.
Phivolcs said the quake was an aftershock of the 5.2-magnitude temblor that occurred in the said area on Dec. 25 last year.
Intensity I was felt over Gumaca, Quezon.
The tectonic quake had a depth of 2 km.
Phivolcs said no damage nor aftershock could be expected from the earthquake.
