MANILA, Philippines — Parts of Eastern and Northern Luzon and Eastern Visayas will experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and isolated thunderstorms becoming cloudy with widespread rains over Southern Luzon due to a tail-end of a cold front affecting these areas, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the rest of Luzon will have mostly cloudy skies with scattered light rains and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, it added.
Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Northeast will prevail over Luzon and Eastern Visayas and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough, the state weather bureau also said.
Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the northeast with slight to moderate seas, it said.
Pagasa also said that strong to gale force wind was expected to affect the northern and western seaboards of Northern Luzon.
Fishing boats and other small seacraft are advised not to venture out into the sea while larger sea vessels are alerted against big waves, it said.
