MANILA, Philippines — The National Police Commission (Napolcom) vice chairman and executive officer Atty. Rogelio T. Casurao has passed away.
Casurao died on Saturday, Jan. 2, Napolcom announced in a social media post.
The Napolcom did not disclose Casurao’s cause of death.
“We deeply mourn his passing and we will forever cherish his memories. We will honor him by continuing to fight the good fights that he fought to move Napolcom forward most especially in this time of great sorrow and pandemic,” the Napolcom said.
The agency said there will be a mass, rosary and novena for Casurao on the 8th floor of the Napolcom building starting Monday, Jan. 4 until Friday, Jan. 8.
Details on his interment will be announced later.
Prior to his post at Napolcom, Casurao served as a councilor in Calbayog City, Samar.
Casurao also previously served as chairman of the People’s Law Enforcement Board (PLEB) of Calbayog City and general legal counsel of the Philippine Councilors League.
