MANILA, Philippines — Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms are expected in the Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan) region, Bicol region, the Visayas regions, Caraga, Davao region, Northern Mindanao, and Quezon, the state weather bureau said Sunday.
This is caused by the tail end of a frontal system and easterlies, Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said in its weather bulletin.
Pagasa warned of possible flash floods and landslides due to moderate to heavy rains.
Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon or “amihan” will bring cloudy skies with light rains to Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Aurora.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains likewise due to the northeast monsoon.
Due to localized thunderstorms, the rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers.
