Armed man creates commotion at church on New Year’s Day in N. Ecija
ZARAGOZA, Nueva Ecija — A man caused a commotion during the noontime New Year’s Day Mass by wielding a bolo knife as he roamed around the church in Barangay (village) San Vicente on Friday (Jan. 1), police said.
Joshua Ed de Guzman, 24, was immediately arrested by responding policemen when he turned out to be armed with two .38 caliber revolvers, a second bolo, and a samurai sword, said Col. Marvin Joe Saro, Nueva Ecija police director.
De Guzman also carried three sachets of suspected shabu (crystal meth), Saro said. ARMAND GALANG
