Fire ravages 5 houses; affects 6 families in Subic

SUBIC, ZAMBALES — Six families were affected by a Saturday (Jan. 2) fire that ravaged 5 houses in the Muslim-dominated zone of Barangay (village) Calapacuan.
The fire began at 11:35 a.m. and completely gutted two houses, according to the Bureau of Fire Protection. Three other neighboring structures were partially damaged.

No one was hurt or died during the blaze.
Fire investigators attributed the fire to electrical appliances that overheated.
