CCCI to elect new board of trustees

The Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) will hold its 2012 election of board of trustees during its first quarter general membership meeting on Feb. 29 at 11 a.m. at the Salon de España, Casino Español de Cebu.

Twelve seats to compose different sectors are at stake to complete the 21-man board of trustees and officers: industry sector (4), trade (2), service (4), sectoral groups (1) and information and communications technology/tourism (1).

Candidates for the industry sector are Michael Basubas from Diamond Cane International Inc., Antonio Chiu from Geltech Hayco Inc., Erwin Choachuy from Powerbrands Inc., Lito Maderazo from Mactan Rock Industries Inc., Linda Ong from Angel Whispers Gifts and Crafts, Apolinar Suarez Jr. from A. Suarez Sterling Corp. and Felix Tiukinhoy from Virginia Food Inc.

Candidates for the trade sector are Emily Chioson from B. Benedicto and Sons Inc., Francis Dy from Greenworld LED Solutions Inc. and Melanie Ng from Ng Khai Development Corp.

Candidates for the service sector are Nestor Archival from N.A. Systems Inc., Ma. Teresa Chan from STI Mandaue, Danilo Kimseng from Bank of the Philippine Islands, Fr. Dionisio Miranda, SVD, from the University of San Carlos, Francis Monera from Cebu Property Ventures and Development Corp., Julita Urbina from Laguna Garden Café, Aida Uy from Cebu Fortune Travel and Antonio Ynoc from Prime Movers Total Logistics Inc.

For the sectoral associations, candidates are Ma. Lourdes Buñing from Philippine International Seafreight Forwarders Association Inc. and Johannes “Hans” Hauri from the Hotels, Resorts, Restaurants Association of Cebu.

For ICT/tourism, candidates are Cenelyn Manguilimutan from Cebu Parklane International Hotel and Jerry Rapes from Exist Quest Inc.
