On the first day of 2021, rains are expected to persist in most parts of the country, particularly the Bicol region, due to the tail-end of a frontal system.
Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon or “amihan” is currently affecting weather conditions over most parts of Luzon, and will bring cloudy skies with light rains over Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora and the rest of Quezon.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains also due to the “amihan”.
The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.
