Magnitude 3.6 quake rocks Bohol; Intensity III felt in Tagbilaran
MANILA, Philippines — A Magnitude 3.6 earthquake rocked the province of Bohol on Thursday, New Year’s Eve, seismologists from the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
Phivolcs’ bulletin showed that the epicenter of the tectonic earthquake was found seven kilometers northeast of the City of Tagbilaran, at a shallow depth of 10 kilometers.
Intensity III was felt in the said city.
No aftershocks and no damage are expected as of now. Phivolcs also has not issued any tsunami warnings despite the earthquake occurring near waters off Bohol.
