SAN MIGUEL, Bulacan –– A drug suspect was killed in an encounter with policemen during a buy-bust operation here on Sunday, authorities said.

Col. Lawrence Cajipe, Bulacan police director, identified the suspect as Romar Linsing, who engaged the lawmen in a shootout when he sensed that he was transacting with an undercover agent. Linsing died on the spot.

Cajipe said the suspect was also a member of a gun-for-hire group involved in extortion and robbery incidents in San Ildefonso town.

Recovered from the suspect were two .38-caliber revolvers and the P3,500 marked money.
