Christmas Day tally: PNP records 23 new COVID-19 cases
MANILA, Philippines—The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Friday (Dec. 25) recorded 23 more COVID-19 cases, bringing the total infection among its ranks to 309.
On its Facebook page, the PNP also reported 33 new recoveries, pushing the total number of policemen who recovered from the disease to 8,508. No new deaths were reported.
The PNP has recorded a total of 8,884 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic.
As of Friday, the Department of Health confirmed 1,885 new cases of COVID-19, with seven more deaths and 307 new recoveries.
A total of 467,601 cases in the Philippines have been recorded since the disease first emerged early this year.
