MANILA, Philippines — The Bureau of Immigration will now allow the reentry of 9(e) and 9(g) visa holders who left the country on Dec. 17 or later.
Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente said 9(e) visa holders are accredited diplomats, including foreign embassies and organizations, while 9(g) visa holders are prearranged employees working in the country.
The move would allow those foreign nationals to return to their countries for the holidays and later reenter the Philippines. But “those who have left prior to Dec. 17 are still not allowed to enter the country,” Morente said. —TINA G. SANTOS
