Suspected drug pusher dies in shootout, another falls in CamSur stings

LEGAZPI CITY — An alleged notorious shabu (crystal meth) peddler died in a shootout with policemen and another was arrested in separate drug stings on Friday and Saturday in Camarines Sur, police report.

Eduardo Corral Jr., 23, resident of Barangay (village) Cararayan, Naga City, and a high-value drug pusher, was killed in a shootout with police operatives in Palmer
Village in Barangay Cararayan at around 3:15 p.m. Saturday.

Recovered from the victim was a sachet of suspected shabu (crystal meth) worth P15,000, and a handgun of unknown caliber.

In Pili, Camarines Sur, police operatives on Friday night collared Alman Atanacio, 40, a resident of Barangay Tagbong, while selling shabu to a police posing as buyer in his own village at around 8:40 p.m. Friday.

Seized from the suspect were four sachets of shabu worth P7,500.
