2 drug suspects busted in Lucena City
LUCENA CITY – Police arrested two notorious drug pushers in buy-bust operations here on Saturday.
Lieutenant Colonel Romulo Albacea, Lucena City police chief, identified the suspects as Simplicio Tiña Jr., 52, and Maria Cecilia De Guzman, 37.
Anti-narcotics agents collared Tiña after he sold shabu or crystal meth to an undercover police officer in a transaction in Barangay 9 at around 9:10 a.m.
Authorities seized four sachets of shabu worth an estimated P11,000.
De Guzman was nabbed in another buy-bust operation in Barangay Ibabang Iyam at around 7:30 a.m.

Both suspects are included in the illegal drugs watchlist, police said.
