Attempt to sneak shabu inside Quezon police jail foiled
LUCENA CITY – A woman was arrested for trying to smuggle in shabu (crystal meth) into a police jail in Tayabas City on Friday.
Major Romar Iddoba Pacis, Tayabas City police chief, conducted a surprise inspection of all food and other items being delivered by jail visitors to inmates around 7 p.m. when he noticed something suspicious with the package brought by the suspect, Aryanah Marhiel Orcales, 29.
When police inspected the packs of baby wipes, they instead discovered two plastic sachets of shabu with an estimated street value of P18,000.
Orcales was detained at the city police jail and will face a complaint for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
