MANILA, Philippines — Some areas in the province of Agusan del Sur were submerged in floodwaters on Friday due to rains brought by Tropical Depression Vicky.

Photos posted on Facebook by the Philippine Information Agency-Agusan del Sur showed flooding in the municipalities of Rosario and San Francisco.

Vicky accelerated as it barrels through Esperanza, Agusan del Sur, according to the 8 p.m. severe weather bulletin of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
