LEGAZPI CITY –– Three persons died after a car collided head-on with a service utility vehicle on Friday morning along the Maharlika Highway in Castilla town in Sorsogon province, a police report said.
Major Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol police spokesperson, said Melvin Dolot, the driver of a gray Hyundai car, and passengers Jeriel
Mirandilla and Teresa Peterson, both residents of Bacon town, also in Sorsogon, died on the spot. Jonathan Peralta, the driver of a Toyota Fortuner, who is a resident of Daraga town, survived the accident unharmed.
According to investigators, the incident occurred at 9:50 a.m. along the national road in Barangay Milagrosa.
Investigators are still determining the cause of the accident.
