1 dead, 1 injured in Paco fire

MANILA, Philippines — A 54-year-old woman died while another unidentified woman sustained injury due to a fire that broke out in a residential area along P. Burgos Zamora in Paco, Manila on Monday morning.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in its report identified the fatality as a certain Loida Reyes Decayman.

The BFP said around 100 families have been affected by the fire that reached the fourth alarm at 5:25 a.m.

Around P500,000 worth of properties have been damaged in the fire that affected around 50 structures, according to the bureau.

BFP declared the fire under control at 7:28 a.m., and was put out at 8:50 a.m.
